Morganite is a peachy pink beryl and was discovered in 1910 by George Kunz who was Tiffany & Co’s chief gemmologist. It was named after J.P. Morgan who was an American financier, banker and avid gem collector. Morganite has also been referred to as a ‘pink emerald’.
